We four friends have decided to share our different cultural experiences as we endeavor in our student teaching. Jake and Kailey are on a Navajo Reservation while Kaitlynn is in an Urban school for the first 10 weeks and in Ireland for the last 10 weeks. Lastly, but certainly not least, Brooke is in a rural school for the first 10 weeks and in Greece for the last 10 weeks. We can't wait to share our experiences with our friends, family, and people around the world! :)

First week
I've made it through my first week. I have 13 5th graders that are the most respectful kids I've ever been around but of course they still like to play around. My favorite parts of the day are serving breakfast to the kids in the morning and running activities in the dorms at night. The kitchen staff are the nicest people I have ever met and they are even teaching me how to say things in Navajo which is pretty cool! I've been playing basketball with the 7th and 8th graders in the dorms which has been a blast. Basketball is the favorite sport here on the Rez by far so that fits me perfectly! I work about 14 hours a day total with lesson planning and stuff. Woof! So far so good here in Many Farms, AZ but I sure do miss my friends and family! I'll take pictures of my class and classroom soon!-Jake
